Typical Desert Yearly Cooling Costs:***
***Based on an 1,800 sq. ft. home with a 4 Ton A/C operating 1800 hrs per year @.25/KWH
  KWH Used Cost/Hour Cost/Year
Pre-1992 A/C 21,773 $3.02 $5,443
8-Year Old A/C 13,917 $1.93 $3,479
EnergyStar A/C 10,000 $1.39 $2,500
EnviroCool 1,170 $0.16 $293

HOW MUCH CAN I EXPECT TO SAVE?
The answer depends on the age of your A/C, what temperature you keep your home, how well your home is built, your typical summer A/C bill, the hours you are home, etc.
We have created a calculation sheet that you can download below to determine the economics of the System for your specific circumstances - or call (760) 413-4464.
Here in the Desert, our climate in the Summer is normally HOT and DRY - ideal for operation of the EnviroCool System. However, we do experience periods of extreme heat and humidity for short periods - mainly in July, August, & Early September. The conditions normally exist in the heat of the day - between Noon and 7:00PM. During these periods, the EnviroCool may not provide sufficient cooling for people intolerant of indoor temperatures in the Low-Mid 80's. If you are normally at Home during these times, and desire lower temperatures, you may need to use your Air Conditioner for a few hours before moving back to the EnviroCool. These high Temperature and Humidity conditions normally exist less than 15% of the time - or about 4-5 Days per month. For people who are away from home during these times, we recommend you leave the EnviroCool system on while you are away, and use the Air Conditioner for a short time when you return for optimal comfort.

Typically: (for an 1,800 sq ft home)
  • A Home with a newer Air Conditioner keeping the Home at 75 Degrees would save about 70% of a $2,500 yearly cooling bill - or $1,750 per year.
  • A Home with an 8 year old Air Conditioner keeping the Home at 78 Degrees would save about 80% of a $3,480 yearly cooling bill - or $2,780 per year.
  • A Home with an old Air Conditioner keeping the Home at 80 Degrees would save about 80% of a $5,440 yearly cooling bill - or $4,350 per year.
  • A Home with an old Air Conditioner tolerant of a maximum 85 Degrees would save about 95% of a $5,440 yearly cooling bill - or $5,170 per year.
  • Homes with existing 'Swamp Coolers' will save less because the Swamp Cooler is already reducing the Air Conditioner usage significantly. EnviroCool operates at about 1/2 the cost of the Swamp Cooler, in a broader range of weather conditions, cools more evenly, cools the attic, and does not add as much humidity to the air.
