INSULATION

Insulation Value is an extremely important factor in Heat infiltration and the consequent use of Air Conditioning. Prior to 1979, insulation was not required in Homes in California. Building codes have progressively required greater levels of insulation since. Adding insulation to the attic of an older home is comparatively easy - as it can be 'blown' in.
